Presentation Details

If an organization is interested in a presentation, please review the following information.

  1. Minimum presentation time is an hour — maximum 2 hours unless you want to consider a longer “workshop” featuring multiple topics.
  2. Presentations must include material from one of the listed topics.  Do not ask for a session that is just an open-ended “question and answer” format.  That will always be included but will follow the presentation of key points.
  3. Is audio-visual equipment available?  Most presentations will include a slide presentation for pre-presentation material and key points.  A digital projector with access to a sound system is needed.  However, if this is not available, it will be supplied (no charge).

Honorariums

Typically, we do not charge for presentations from 212-Careers.  If an organization has a policy of providing an honorarium or a budget for a program, the honorarium will be accepted — but will be used primarily (at least 75%) to purchasing books from the 212-Careers Bookstore or the 212 Bookstore.  These books will be presented to participants of the program.

For example, a $200 honorarium will typically be used to purchase copies of Daniel Pink’s “The Adventures of Johnny Bunko” or to defer the cost of “Audition for Your Next Job.”  During the presentation, copies will be awarded to participants with good questions or comments — alternatively, they can be presented as part of a drawing.
